NH Packing has been growing, packing and supplying quality fresh squash and pumpkin to export and New Zealand markets for over 30 years. Our continued innovation and attention to quality and flavour has established us as a market leader with excellent understanding of our customer's needs. We are one of the largest and best resourced growers, packers and suppliers of premium buttercup squash and pumpkin for the fresh market. From planting to packing, we do it all with care, ensuring you get produce that’s as good as it gets.
Together with our carefully selected group of skilled growers we produce quality squash from the ground up by carefully looking after the soil and plants so that each fruit reaches optimum quality and flavour. We have a continuous focus on the best quality fruit throughout development and production with careful monitoring and modern, sustainable management practices.
NH Packing operates a very professional harvesting service to ensure produce is picked with care at optimum maturity. We have invested in the latest technologies and harvest techniques to maximise flavour, storage and overall quality to the end consumer.
We have a modern, purpose built packhouse in Whakatu, Hawke's Bay where our dedicated team receive produce from our growers to be graded, packed, stored and despatched. This first class, fully audited facility aids in improving the storage and quality of product for our international and New Zealand customers.
Export produce is shipped to overseas markets via nearby Napier Port with full traceability from the field. We work with our export partners at Three Good Men to export up to 15,000 tonnes of squash to Japan and Korea annually.
We pack into wooden bins and offer size ranges to suit customer requirements. These bins are then shipped on container vessels.
With farming as our foundation, protecting the land is second nature. By combining sustainable practices with modern technology, we’re not only protecting our land and community but also paving the way for a resilient future of crop production. This commitment helps us pass on a healthier environment to the next generation.
